I just heard some of these jokes and they are hilarious. It reminds me Poland from my childhood where jokes were necessary to make life easier.
The first one is about three dogs - American, Polish and Russian. Polish dog does not know what "meat" means.... this is sad but true since we did not have enough mean when I was growing up.

Jaga,
I remember the hilarious jokes of Polish uncles in the Polish peoples Republic, full of Polish self mockery and criticism of the Polish communist system.
One of them was this one, told to me by an uncle in Poznan in 1987;
The same Polish uncle; “Pieter do you know the joke about our Maluch, Polish Fiat 126p”, of course I had to reply I didn’t knew the joke, so I said “No”.
The Polish uncle in Poznań tells the joke;
“A Polish man goes to his communist state car dealer to buy the Maluch (Polski Fiat 126) in 1986. He is very eager to get the car because his old FSO Warszawa M20-57 has died. So he asks I want to order a Maluch, when can you deliver him to me. The dealer says in 10 years in 1996 on exactly the same day.” My uncle takes the perfect pause and then continues;
“The buyer asks the communist car dealer; In 10 years will be the car in your garage in the morning or in the afternoon…?!”
The uncle again takes a perfect short pause and plays the car dealer;
“Why does it matter if it is in the morning or afternoon in 10 years…?”
The uncle takes a short pause and then plays the buyer and says;
“Because on exactly that day in 1996 my plumber will come to fix the leaking pipe of my bath tub in the afternoon.”
This is brilliant sense of humor. The Polish self mockery and mocking communism in the best form. These jokes of that funny Polish uncle and other jokes of a Polish family friend were so funny and brilliant.

Jaga,
I didn't watch the video, because I watched long excellent Soviet jokes video's of Ronald Reagan in the past, so I posted my reply with the story of my Polish uncle. Today (Sunday) I hear the same story about the SovietUnion in Reagans words. This joke must have had Soviet, Polish, Czech and Hungarian versions, because I really heard that story about the Maluch and 10 years delivery in communist Poland (told by my Polish uncle) and then I hear Reagan telling the same story in a different version. Amazing.
Cheers, Pieter

Pieter,
thanks for remembering the joke. Yes, I believe that the same joke could be copied for different situations. It showed paradoxes of life in Eastern Europe
