Sara Sharif, 10, found dead in Woking house named locallyBy Bob Dale & Tom Pugh BBC NewsA 10-year-old girl found dead at a house in Surrey has been named locally as Sara Sharif.
Detectives are still looking for three people known to the girl and who have left the country. No arrests have been made.
The girl was alone when found at the property at about 02:50 BST on 10 August.
A post-mortem examination will be held on Tuesday afternoon.
Formal identification has yet to take place, and investigators are still at the property in Hammond Road, Woking.
The three people detectives wish to speak to are believed to have left the country on 9 August.
Surrey Police said it was working with the international authorities to locate them.
A Surrey Police spokesperson said: "Detectives have confirmed that no other people were present at the address when they attended in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"The three people they would like to speak to were known to the victim. Formal identification is yet to take place, but we understand the child has been named locally."
The deceased girl's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.Police at sceneOn Thursday, Det Ch Insp Debbie White said: "Our officers are working hard to build a picture of what happened.
"We have no reason to believe there is any risk to the public."
St Mary's Horsell church in Woking was opened on Friday so members of the community could attend for "prayer, reflection or comfort".
Floral tributes were left outside the property where Sara's body was found, with messages remembering a "sweet girl" whose "sparkle was put out too soon".
Speaking after the discovery, a neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, described the neighbourhood as "pretty normal".
"There is no real activity going on," they said.
Sara "appeared to help look after her younger brothers and sisters, and especially the baby", the neighbour added.
They "seemed a happy family who cared for all their children", they said.
Meanwhile, another local resident said: "The area is very peaceful. It is busy during term-time with children walking to and from. But it's a lovely, vibrant place, normally."Police at scene

Politics WhatsappMum's heartbreak as 'beautiful' 10-year-old daughter found dead – police launch manhuntOlga Sharif has told how she can "only remember the good times" with her "amazing" 10-year-old daughter Sara, who was found dead last week.By Liam Doyle

Police recovered the body of Sara Sharif, 10, from her father's property in Horsell, Woking, on Thursday, August 10.
Her mother, Olga Sharif, was allegedly informed of her daughter's death by officers over the phone, and she has told how her life will "never be the same again".
She remembered her daughter in an interview with The Sun, telling the publication she was "Cheeky", "outgoing", and "always laughing".
But she will see Sara for the first time in years when she views her body following a post-mortem today, as she alleged her ex-husband Urfan Sharif, 41 - who had sole custody - only allowed her to see her children twice since 2019.People have left tributes outside the home where the young girl was found (Image: PA)Mrs Sharif said: "I couldn't see my daughter for four years, and now she is dead. She's only a kid, she had done nothing wrong."
Instead, she was sent photos by Sara's father, but they found ways to remain close to her "amazing child".
She said there is "nothing I can do that can bring her back to life" and can now "only remember the good times with her".
The grieving mum added: "Life is really hard. It's just not fair."Police are searching for three people who have fled the UK (Image: PA)While Polish-born Mrs Sharif had lost custody in 2019, she said her artistic daughter wanted to be like her and described Sara as a younger version of herself.
The "outgoing" youngster was also popular among her peers, she added, and had many friends at school, with her loss also being marked in her neighbourhood, where locals have left tributes outside her father's home.
Surrey Police has opened inquiries into Sara's killing, with investigators currently searching for three people known to the victim believed to have fled the UK on Wednesday, August 9. The 10-year-old’s father has been named as local taxi driver Malik Urfan Sharif, 41Credit: Tiktok

Pieter
What a terrible situation of this young lady to die so young with her entire life in front of her to live. It is of good hope and trust those responsible will be located, arrested and under the rule of law, pay dearly for what they have done.
