Pieter
Interesting of this American Jew to take the time and money to visit both Israel and Palestine to view for himself in instead of having only the knowledge from books and news stations. His observations certainly struck my own attention and finally some from such a state as Americas has done his own research and made public his observations.
What though, this person identified only as an American Jew has missed, is a very important reason of the current situation with The Palestinians in Gaza. That reason is they have no other location to go, for in the Arab world, these people are lepers. Not as individuals, but as a group for a good reason of the treachery they have demonstrated whilst as guest residence in such states as Kuwait and Jordan. Even the Egyptians that are the caretakers of Gaza given to them before 1948, closed their borders against the Palestinians. This brings up though of the Egyptian Government that apparently not brought up by the media for whatever reason, possibly for no value is selling news. The reality is this, The Egyptians until of fairly recent events, has been active in shipping supplies through underground tunnels to the Palestinians. This is indeed so, a valuable sign that although The Egyptian Government on the surface, is with the Arab thought of separation between the Palestinian people, is or was taking its on initiative in helping these people in the best of their humanitarian way open for them to do so and still retain the trust of their surrounding Arab Neighbours.

Karl,
interesting and sad point. "That reason is they have no other location to go, for in the Arab world, these people are lepers. "
I also think that Jordan and Egypt are worried that if they let them in, Israel would immediately claim their whole territory.
As much as people are saying "hamas" does not accept Israel. Why nobody ask - does Israel accept Gaza and West Bank and Palestinian rights?
