Everybody in Poland knows about Jan Matejko, famous Polish historical painter or Stanislaw Wyspianski, who was not only a great painter but also a drama writer who unfortunately died prematurely. People know about famous women painters or their work, but their lifestories were usually even more complicated than these of the men painters. All of them went to live abroad, in spite of their close connection to Polish culture. Here we start with the first one; Olga Boznanskaen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olga_Bozna%C5%84skaOlga Boznańska (15 April 1865 – 26 October 1940) was a Polish painter of the turn of the 20th century. She was a notable painter in Poland and Europe, and was stylistically associated with the French impressionism, though she rejected this label. She was born in Krakow, but died in Paris Olga's photo with a dog:
