J.J.
This is not personal but factual, Poland at present is armed to the teeth with conventual weapons which in self is ok if this makes them feel safer. But,, to place nuclear weapons in the hands of Poland is a gross and very dangerous mistake. For if once done so, there is a cracker cake fellow in the Polish Government of name," Jaroslaw, Kaczynski would like nothing better to have his hands on the trigger of a nuclear weapon aimed at Russia. The man remembers everything from the last war and has not learnt nothing. For after all these years, Poland has not learnt the powerful lesson, that it is much better to make a friend then to create an enemy. For this lesson was long past learnt by Germany with once a good friend and excellent trading partner with Russia until the Americans with their zeal of competing against Russia for political dominance of Europe with results of what we now have, a forever war in Ukraine, lost trade relations between Russia and Western Europe and who knows what next, and for what, yes a loused situation we now have.
The Polish have never understood the under laying reason of the Americans needing the state of Poland for. This was of some years past with their issues with their own government of raw treatment with torture of political prisoners not allowed to operate under the control of The American Government, but not on foreign soil, Poland was then receptive so there we are at present.
Nuclear weapons are only safe if kept in control or responsible Western countries such as The USA, France and Britain and of some years past, Israel.
The above is not a personal factor but of reality.

John and Karl,
it is only pres.Duda (and probably PIS like Karl said) that expressed the readiness for hosting nuclear weapons in Poland, prime-minister Tusk and his government do not support this opinion.
I don't want nuclear weapons in Poland
