They call them golden parachutes here in the US. Costs more to fire them then keep them. Pretty common here for upper management

There is a newsflash:
S³one odprawy dla dyrektorów Poczty Polskiej
"Nowy Dzieñ": Odprawa w wysokoœci dziewiêciu miesiêcznych pensji plus dziewiêciomiesiêczny okres wypowiedzenia - tak zabezpieczyli siê przed zwolnieniem przez rz¹d Kazimierza Marcinkiewicza dyrektorzy Poczty Polskiej. Dyrektor generalny Tadeusz Bartkowiak, powo³any na to stanowisko przez poprzedni rz¹d SLD, podpisa³ nowe umowy z blisko 50 mened¿erami we wrzeœniu, gdy nie by³o ju¿ cienia w¹tpliwoœci, ¿e wybory wygra prawica i ¿e przeprowadzi w Poczcie wymianê ludzi. W przypadku zwolnienia ka¿dy z nich dostanie od 60 do 100 tys. z³ samej odprawy. Gdyby zwolnieni zostali wszyscy, kosztowa³oby to Pocztê ok. 3-4 mln z³.
- Nie mam w¹tpliwoœci, ¿e kontrakty podpisano ze szkod¹ dla publicznej instytucji, podkreœla Jerzy Polaczek, nowy minister transportu i budownictwa, któremu podlega Poczta Polska.

i am so dissapointed in the election of the new Polish President. Wasn't he the mayor of Warsaw who wouldn't let gays march in the city? I guess he was afraid that young Polish children would have thier innocent eyes violated and might turn GAY if they witnessed gay people marching for rights thru their streets! In any event, it made Warsaw and Poland in general look like a backward backwater. Its only a matter of time when Poland will elect more sophisticated leaders who are more reluctent to be a sycophant to the Church.

i am so dissapointed in the election of the new Polish President. . George, there was a big split between big cities and villagers and also between Eastern part of Poland and a western part a bit like here in teh USA between red versus blue America. What to do - democracy is not the best political system but nobody invented a better one...

Jaga et al in the forum. In this world there are two types of people; 1. The honest hard working persons who go to their jobs, 2. Then there are Politicians. LOL ;D
