Bob, in 1960's I wrote stories for Thunder Agents, Noman & Undersea Agents comic books (Tower Pub. Co.). I met some top illustrators including Wally Wood & Gil Kane: www.thunderagents.com/Unfortunately, my byline doesn't appear because I wrote free lance. I collect comic books. Today, I'm developing my own comic book about the occult in Yucatan, Tibet, Siberia and other remote places. Carl

I have used comic books to paint figures since the muscles are exageratted in the comics. Good tool for human figure painting.

Hi Which comics do I like... I like "Kajko i Kokosz" very much, it is a polish comics, which you probably never heard of :-). Action is taking place in medieval era, however some modern inventions are also available there. One of its biggest "pro" is a really great humour. Here you can find some issues online: www.kajko.friko.pl/index.phpI also like polish comics from 1970 and 1980, they contains a little bit of propaganda, like "Kapitan ¯bik" or "Kapitan Kloss", but who cares. Other I have read and like: - Thorgal - a really good piece of fantasy - Funky Koval - great SF - Asterix - realy funny - Tytus Romek i A'tomek - cool and funny - XIII - great adventure serie - many many more, not series but single isues, fantasy, SF, adventure, wartime, Which I don't like: - Punisher - Spawn - X-Men - and other of the series of superheroes by Marvel I have hundreds of them scanned and archived on DVDs, of course it is illegal to share them, so I am not proposing it to you , but if you want to discuss this matter give me a PM. Yes, there is Thorgal comic book serie, created by famous duo: Rosinski & Van Hamme. Well, I don't know if there are any available now, last were reprinted in 2003, the original serie is dated back to late 1980. Problem is the serie was printed and edited by 4 different companies. Whole serie consist of 28 issues, the only one company that printed (and reprinted) them all is EGMONT. Try this link. www.serwis-komiksowy.pl/index.php?idn=op_thorgal_egmont&kat=opI know there is a game Thorgal, I tried it, but didn't like it. Not my favourite kind. Yanc

I use to read comic books as a child. What do you think of the new Japanese type comics...the wide eyed characters.

I don't like japaneese cartoons, japanese comics, and japanese movies. Characters are "overdrawn" (don't know if it is the correct word - mean exaggeration in every aspect). Don't like the distorted proportions (big head, big eyes, small mouth), scenes when a character jumps and fly, fly fly....... Ideology is somewhat stupid for me either.

I don't like the Japanese comics because They seem to have little compassion and almost no regard for the problems of humanity.
