Jim,
very nice! The wolf is marvelous!
I can see it now -- you will move to Poland and become famous for your folk art wood carvings, and sell to the shops that sell to tourists: "made in Poland by a real Polish-American"
"Rufus and Sadie" look just like some of the carvings in my folk art books so you are off to a good start. ;D

Jim, Beautiful woodworking you've done there! I love the faces, and especially Rufus! Did you carve all of them from any kind of model or pattern, or just "freehand" them?
Beautiful grandkids you've got, too.

7 months is a cute age! Old enough to be alert and playful, but not old enough to be tearing through the house, jumping off the sofa, etc. ;D

Jim ...great carvings. They remind me of the carvings in Bavaria I found on my visit there. They were called forest trolls....carved out of knots. I will post a photo when I get a chance.

Copied this out of my yearbook. The one in the white blouse in the upper left hand corner is me and my first wood carving. It did not come out bad but she came out bald. I did not know how to do hair and hadn't thought it out as well as I should have. Mr. Mauer my art teacher was great and the only reason I enjoyed coming to school. He let you choose what you wanted to do and then helped you learn how to do it. We had total freedom of expresion. It wasn't okay today we are going to paint/draw apples.
