Hey, we've had the first, although very faint, snow of the season here, too. snowed for some 5 minutes and all melted on the ground. In the eastern parts of Poland though it was really snowing - they have more of the Euroasian continental climate

It hasn't snowed in Poznan, yet. Is the picture taken just now? I admire your reflexes, aadam (where has "A_dam" gone, I liked thinking you're "jedna tama").

We had one brief episode a couple of weeks ago of wet, slushy snow, but nothing more. We often get our first real snow of the season in November, but this autumn has been so unusually warm.

No snow here in the UK yet, but last night on the max-min thermometer I keep on the side of my garden shed, the lowest of the season so far at minus 5 degreesC. And they say it is going to get colder!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr The colour of this posting is intended to show cold!!! Leslie

;D Once in a while we get a snowfall here in the Tidewater that may last for 3 or 4 days. Everything is closed down and a holiday/emergency is declared. People who have a 4 wheel drive car are asked to help Doctors, Nurses and other public safety people to get to their places of work. ;D

The Alaska sno report is: very, very lean. Stop hogging it and send it up where it belongs! Welcome to the Warm WOrld.

Hi Nancy Yes you have to be very careful what you wish for - as the Polish proverb says: Nie pozadaj zony blizniego swego nadaremno (Do not covet your neighbour’s wife, in vain) Leslie (in trouble as usual!) Woops, I've gone outside the thread again!

good shots brrrrrrrrr. Do you guys change out your summer tires for winter now? I have both summer and winter treads mounted on wheels. Last year, it never even showed here, so heck with it, I will just leave the summer tires on...and hope it will not snow..

Aadam
The nice thing about our rain is: it is about the depth the lady is removing in the pic, but rain drains away.
I suspect though, we may just get some snow this year in our lower elevations (here). We usually on normal years, have between 2 to 3 inces (5 cm/7 cm) for a few days and melts.
Of course traffic is stopped, people are panicking and buying snow tires/chains. Then it all melts.
