Maybe the question is a bit delayed. In the US PIS won, so I think the opinions are splitted especially here.

Would like to know your source of u.s. vote in polish elections. Polish media offer the complete data, it is enough to do some googling... wiadomosci.onet.pl/wybory2007/1628244,news.html serwisy.gazeta.pl/wybory2007/1,85059,4603591.html In Great Britain PO with 62% smashed PiS with 9.8%. In Germany PO- 62%, PiS- 24%. PO has also won in Belgium, Moscow, Afghanistan, Iraq. On the other hand, PiS with 67% support crushed PO 28% in the USA. Commentary: Young active energetic Poles in Great Britain voted for energetic PO. Mature conservative Poles in the USA voted for conservative PiS.

Pawian,
Or, *simplistic Conservative Poles in Americans with a distorched picture of Poland and influenced by Polish-Americans voted for the ancient regime of fear, xenophobia, and prejudices, and young working Poles abroad voted for common sense, pragmatic socultions, economical improvement and good ties with fellow Europeans!
Pieter
P.S.- By the way not all the people who voted for PiS were simplistic, small minded, revengeful people. In my democratic view people may be Conservative, Nationalist, chauvinistic, Xenophobe or whatever. That's their choice. (not mine ofcourse)

Or... Young, uneducated Poles who couldn't find work in Poland voted for PO. You are talking about Poles who left Poland a year or two ago. But today, it is almost impossible to be unable to find work in Poland. Companies have been complaining about the shortage of workers for a few months. Once they were very fastidious, today they take everybody and are very happy when somebody deems to come to a job interview hahahahaha

Yes, I can agree. It is even reflected by the impression which major parties` leaders make on people. Tusk, though he is about 50, looks and behaves like a boy who loves playing football (he was a very good amateur footballer once). On the other hand, Kaczynskis look and behave like old people. They remind me of Soviet senile octaganarians who used to rule the USSR.

PiS won in the USA, and by a huge margin!?!? Now that's funny! It`s not funny. This division in Polish opinion is a great tragedy. It is to be deplored, not laughed at!!!
