They have a summit EU-Africa. It did attract protesters especially because of the presence of racist Mugabe from ZImbabwe (who is responsible for a pitiful state of his country, expulsion of white farmers etc) and Libyan Kadafi. EU decided to try to strenghten relations to Africa because China is doing so.... but GB refused to participate since Mugabe is there. Speaking to European and African leaders in Portugal yesterday, it was left to Merkel to confront human rights abuses in Zimbabwe, putting President Robert Mugabe under the spotlight at a summit which has been overshadowed by the despot's presence.
