They are saying in Poland now that the news were exaggerated. This man was not really in coma, he had some speech and other problems (afazja?) but he was not completely unconscious. The personel of the hospital where the man was finally awaken is a bit nervous because the journalists from all around the world came there. read about it here: wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/Wiadomosci/1,80269,4208390.html

What is really noteworthy in this incredible story is the endurance of his wife. She didn`t drop him to find another man, she looked after her disabled husband and brought up their children at the same time. She should be awarded a Noble Wife and Mother Prize, in my opinion.

I'm afraid that the general thing is that when there is any news being reported in the media, there are almost always exaggerations, twists to make the story more interesting, and so on. This certainly appears to be the case in this instance - newspapers are possibly the worst culprits because they have to sell their papers and a simple story does not sell newspapers. Television in the UK, particularly the BBC I always feel tries to put over the true stories, but they are often at the mercy of the people who supply their news (not always there own TV journalists).
