In TV24 channel in Polish TV I see men having these very strange looking grasses - very narrow with the strange site handles (I do not know exactly what word to use). These guys in these glasses just look terrible, especially that some of them have full square faces. I wish somebody was telling these guys that they just look terrible, you cannot wear any fashion style if it does not suit you! Here is an example of similar glasses: www.made-in-china.com/showroom/eyemax/product-detailLazntmRPeJEu/China-New-Optical-Frames-FMF2327-.htmlJerzy, are many people in Poland wearing these types of eye glasses?

Jaga, I'm sure Pawain will chime in - but until he does I can tell you that I saw many, many men wearing such glasses this spring - especially in Warsaw. Although some looked very handsome in them! Others not so much.

Jaga
We had those styles some years back and I just hated them. As I needed glasses then, I would insist upon the round glass style with gold rims. They were more serviceable and I just was not in the mindset of looking like an imitation {Karl Lagerfeld} escaping from Vogue.
But,,,some of the Italian and French guys looked very good in them, but, they were slender fellows with slicked hair wearing the pointy boot style shoe.
Hate glasses.....happy those times are over.

Most people wear glasses with narrow frames today. So far I haven`t seen such wide sides as in the photo. Generally the fashion imposes narrow plastic frames nowadays which is a problem for me because I like my glasses wide, both vertically and horizontally. I changed my glasses a month ago and had to visit a few opticians to find what I liked. I bought one pair but I also decided to mend my old broken metal framed glasses. I had to go to ....... the jeweller`s to have it mended. Opticians no longer work with metal frames. Ridiculous!

Jaga this has been in fashion here for some time now. Most of the people that wear them are the young college and artsy type (you know they dress in black and wear short hair. Usually dyed black with red streaks in them) The rest have not caught up with this style and still wear the wire frames. Wire frames are still better than the huge plastic frames some still wear. This older fashion ages one immediately and makes them look out of touch with fashion. Not everyone can wear the newer frames that you speak of and probably shouldn't. I think you should wear what looks good on you and not cause it is fashionable. The frames are narrow and wider stems.
I think most frames are made in Italy and so maybe the Italians have an influence on Europeans. Or am I wrong here.
Now the ones Charles speaks of are Lagerfeld like and large they looked good on him but not on Onnasis. The newer version don't look anything like those. Ans by the way I am looking to update my glasses and had a pair picked out but they do not have a frame on bottom only glass which looked better on me. They are sort of a retro look if best to describe them.

Jaga, they are quite popular in Warsaw but not what I'd call an epidemic.
