Perhaps this is not in context of Polish Culture Forum. But, it is in context of information and culture. In this case, a situation for knowledge of a middle 'Eastern country of Syria. For Syria is not Arab, but do share the language and not the culture.
For some time, due to some University training of the Middle
East of the {Fertile Triangle} I was given post to Syria for some years, {Aleppo} very close to the Turkisch boarder. We used a legitimate {Import} business of {Deutschen Motor Deutz}.

This was very well known by the Syrian government and intelligence service, but gave them a reason to ignore us, and a reason for us to be there.
Damascus as well known, is the head city {Capital} of Syria. It is very Mid-Eastern, whilst Aleppo is more to European. Aleppo is two cities in one {you may not read of this in the journals of travel and tourist books} the outer ring of the city is the new, whilst the inner walled city is of the old. {not a good area for silly drunken Europeans to be found, for to be found may be with a slit throat for their stupid follie}.
But, to our presentation: Womans rights in Syria are guaranteed by law of the land, a man violates those rights, and his many days will be spent in a dark prison cell for a time to think, for this is a guarantee. If the man is honest and upright, he will find his time spent with his woman, a delight and many children to credit.
There are some secret womans organizations in Syria, and all are left un-marked and totally unmolested. Any man rather man or half man, is not allowed into any meeting whats so ever.
One of those womans leagues is: {SWLPCM}[English translation-Syrians Womans League to Protect Childhood and Mothershood]
and the other as commensurate with this presentation:

Damascus, (SANA)- Member of the Regional Leadership and Head of the Public Organizations Department of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Mrs. Shahinaz Fakoush stressed that women constitute a main part and parcel of the society as they are responsible for many social issues necessary for the overall development.
Addressing participants in the Media Forum on Role of Media in Enhancing Women Role in Public Life, organized by the General Union of Women on Sunday, Mrs. Fakoush highlighted the role of information in boosting up the role of women and conveying their real positive image to our society.
MRs. Fakoush said women in Syria had now been able to participate in all fields of life and were doing political and social responsibilities and duties.
Minister of Information Dr. Mohsen Bilal stressed in a speech at the Forum that women are equal to, if not more enduring and determined better, than men in many cases.
The Minister said that media is based on presenting information and had an education and guidance function as the culture of a society depends on interaction to deal with existing problems and solve them.
"Damascus is the capital of the world; capital of culture and politics for the Arabs ….and we as a society have to preserve these aspects and display them to the whole world," Dr. Bilal.
Head of the General Union of Women Mrs. Suad Bakkour said media had a big role in empowering women and their active participation in the overall development.
She also highlighted the great role of media in showing the positive and active presence of women as they constitute an integral part in the durable development.
