Well I am always telling everyone to make sure they save their files in case of the Blue Screen of Death. I finally got to see it the other day. Was able to log on and went to save my files with back up but found out that in WIN XP Home Editon there is no BACk UP in Systems tools. In the mean time I had another update reloading so I restarted my PC and was not able to get past the Welcome screen for XP and into my desktop. Hence the dreaded message sorry looks like we have to restore your PC from the get go. There went all my files and photos and any other important doc I had saved. I am able to connect to the Internet but won't be on so much till I get my Anti Virus and other safety issues fully installed.
What is the saying ...never say never. So save important files. Best to have an external drive to save to. I had a very nice tech walking me through the 5 hour motions so learned alot while licking my wounds.
Safe Surfing
