Some of the books are hilarious, some just talk about unusual ideas, some are difficult to translate because they contain such a word play. He was a very smart guy, he had many followers all around the world...

I've read many of his books, and enjoyed it. Some of his books are on mandatory lecture lists for elementary and high schools. But I read many many more than that. My favourite was a pilot Pirx serie of novels and stories.

PS. If you truly want to enjoy Lem's books, you should read them in original. It's like the poetry - not translateable.
