The whole world is one huge structure of sin. Among those sins, the greed of human beings is king. These aren't my words, but the words of the greatest man of the last thousand years, John Paul II. It is too simplistic to focus all blame on individual nations. I see the need for structural adjustment in the area of personal morality. National governments in the richest countries (except for Norway, Sweden, and very few others), have no instrument to equalize the wealth distribution extremes. I read on Newsvine how some wealthy magnate, Rao, from India perceives this situation. Rao makes a case for "speedy action to help the poorest classes." I would point out that it is not the physics of speed what makes positive changes in unequal wealth distribution and injustice, but the human will. Will is the key word. We need better leaders if better decisions are ever to be made! We need people who see the image of God in every human being ... not class. I hate the world "class". Every greed, every injustice and inequality, is masqueraded under this "more socially acceptable" word! In humanity there are no classes! We are all children of the same Father God! Let's banish, vanquish this ugly word from India and from the world, with speed! Let this be the first act toward a better world! It is obscene injustice when the number of billionaires is growing alongside with extreme poverty and hunger! This is vintage greed, proper to animals, not humans! In a world where thousands of children die daily of starvation, no one should have an absolute right to own billions in bank accounts and real estate! This is intolerable! John Paul II is dead, but his encyclicals Sollicitudo rei socialis and Laborem exercens, live! They denounce the present situation in unequivocal terms!
