Did any of you have any chances to read any of the reportages very popular Polish writer/journalist - Melchior Wankowicz?
I was just reading today his book with the reportages from his travels to America. Wankowicz unfortunately lived in a wrong epoch, he was not very liked by communists and he died in 1974. He had amazing, almost encyclopedical knowledge and a great sense of humor.
He describes American west and mormons much better and in much details than...many American even know their own history!
I wish I could recommend you his stories but there are only few available in English.
He took part in Polish-Soviet war in 1920, one of his two daughters died in a Warsaw uprising.
