While our lack of response presumably reflects our inability to contribute to the myriad Polish topics you two present, it does not reflect a lack of interest on our parts. Hopefully there are many, many lurkers out there enjoying the education you provide as well. Kai

in Polish forum and then we are accused that... we just talk about politics and not about Poland! but it seems that there is just no response to any POlish topics Jaga Have also my self heard this complain of {not much Polish, but much politics}. This is well and good as a complaint, but,,for what are those complainers doing to remedy the situation with post additions of their own? I say this in good faith and with out criticizing. For your inquiry is of truth, you are seeking answers. And this is the part and partial of problem solving. One must first obtain {what is the problem} then entertain choices of best for a solution. There is a reason for every thing, very little co-incidental. For what Mary has described as her reason of non-reply: She enjoys to read of that others describe of Polish subjects, but feels not so informed as to provide a proper reply. This makes good sense. For the complainers of over stating of the politics. It should be brought to mind of a very important FACT. Most folks on this forum, are American with ethnical ties to Poland, but they are American. And as so and very rightly so, the new political situation of elections are in-progress for a new Commander in Chief of the high office of {President of the United States}. It is not only of high interest of the Americans, it is very high interest to our leadership and of Europe, both West and East. And not to slight, the new Iraqi leadership, for they will wish for answers that only the new president will have to offer. My self? Yes, I have been lazy with little offered, for this, I will exchange this into productivity. But, please do not be offended with what I have to say... Strangely enough, over the years I have not traveled into probably maybe 50 K/m into Poland. For why bother, I would rather be in France/Italy and or Spain for the sunshine and pretty ladies! For why to travel into a land that is so same as Germany with exception of language. For this, would I have stayed in Cuxaven for exception of my work. I will continue unless it is not wished for. To resume post articles on the European thread as my part. Even though I know it is seldom of answer, I realize that this will not preclude of others reading. It is my sincere trust, that with the just reading of at least, will impart more of the accumulated knowledge base to the reader. Even though presented by a person known as a bore and nasty person byothers of the other Polish Forum. {I say above with tongue-in-cheek, for I do like them all as individuals and believe in them as honest people} Karl

Jaga, I'm not sure who feels the need to criticize the forum for lacking Polish input but whatever. With regards to political posts- It is the political season. when something is in season it becomes a relevant topic.
I like to think that I/we have opened ourselves up here to the rest of the world and represent our respective cultures and regions of the world that we live in. Even our respective areas of our countries.
I think you have a pretty good thing here.
I would certainly welcome more people from Poland, Europe, or anywhere to post.
Maybe then they could learn for themselves what makes people such as myself so ignorant!

Thanks for encouraging responses. Charles, thanks a lot for your contributions to the forums.
We need to remember that this is mainly Polish forum, but I wish these readers who complain that there is not enough discussion about Polish issues just started the discussions. Sometimes it is hard to follow if we do not know too much about the issues but at least the rest of us can try to participate and learn more about Poland.

Jaga,
I hope that we as a the collective group of members of this Forum can focus more on Poland, Polish people in Poland, Polish politics, Polish history, Polish culture, Polish science, Polish economy, Polish progression, Polish diaspora, the Polish relationship with it's neighbours (Czech republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Germany, Russia and the Baltic states). Poland is interesting enough although many of us may be not know so much about this country where our roots lay, with whoom we feel a bond, and where we will go back to to visit that great country of our ancestors and relatives.
I don't know enough about Poland to be called an insider, but I visited and stayed this Forum and it's predicessor at Bella to read, inform myself and learn more about the things I mentioned above here.
Thank you for letting me learn, Jaga and others on this great Forum, which is a source of information and community on the world wide web. It is also interesting to go through the archive and read all the contributions of the Poles from Poland and the Polish-American contributers, people who are here and people who have left. Jaga, Franek, Chris, Jim, leslie, Carl, Holly, Gardenmoma, Yanc, Adam, Bunjo, Tuftabis, Zooba, Pawian and Nathanael.
