When I was growing up I was told that if I dug straight down into the ground I would eventually fall out in China. As a child I was fascinated by this and attempted several times to accomplish the feat (as I child I loved rice and I thought my love of rice was a good enough reason to try). I never made it. I always ran into rocks and an angry mother who thought I should take a bath immediately. I won't tell you about the time I filled my hole with water in a attempt to hide my efforts... Anyway - take a look at the link - your mother would approve. map.pequenopolis.com/

Holly,
very interesting feature. I also thought about it. It looks that the water, ocean, sees, are almost everywhere. Wherever I dig I end up in the ocean!

Holly, I'd rather ask WHO fell in the hole? :-) I must check my side of the world. Ocean again! Somewhere east of New Zealand..

Holly, a very interesting exercise, but not entirely surprising as most of the southern hemisphere is water anyway! I ended up in the Pacific just off the SE coast of New Zealand - I've always wanted to go there, but by doing it this way - I can't swim. My editing probably landed up there as well.
Does anyone actually land up in an acceptable area?

You can start in Mongolia and end up in Argentina. I think I prefer the ocean.
