To everyone on the Polishsite Forum:
I would like to say that I hope you have already had a very Happy Christmas and I hope you will have the best New Year ever.
This is a difficult message for me to compose because I am slightly embarrassed at deliberately addressing you all. When I get on my soap box, it is easy for me to say what I think. My name is not William so I can't claim to be Billy the Kid - I'm too old anyway!
However, I do tend to shoot from the lip and if that's not popular, I'm sorry.
What I would like to say is THANK YOU - to all of you. Thank you for reading my posts in 304 Squadron. Thank you for tolerating me. Thank you for all the wonderful birthday messages I have just received.
But, most of all, thank you for the fantastic reception I have received and for the absolutely magnificent way that you have made me feel welcome in this forum. My name does not end with a ski or a wicz and I do not have a drop of Polish blood in my veins but I have felt so welcome that I think I could probably get a Polish passport if I applied for one.
Special thanks to Jaga, for her support, Tim for being so funny -incredible for an American! and Karl - my old Arch-enemy, for being a good friend.
My only hope for the future is to be able to teach the Americans to spell the English language correctly. However, that's an impossible dream!
I have been on the Internet for 20 years or so, but I have never found a place where I felt so at home.
Thank you all, again.
Neville
