Mary
Thank you for your information. I was not aware of the issue as out lined with ammunition cases. Interesting I must say.
As a person, I am not for guns with general public ownership, but then I am not against it. I would though, recommend a requirement of provision, {unless it currently exist} that a requirement of obtaining a license for ownership, be prerequisite of attendance of a professional training class.
My reason of gun possession is simple, I must. It is not a toy or possession, it is a tool. I loath to carry the darn thing and for the most part, do not, for there is little reason. It is a cannon and would be very effective against venomous serpents both the crawling and 2 legged type.
I was also aware of the military prevention of sale of spent ammunition cases. For the most part, those things would pose some difficulty for the reloading for of the flame holes at the base for the military primer. Sporting ammunition is manufactured with one single primer flam hole whilst military ammunition is manufactured with usually 3. Hence, the problem press removal of the old primer for reloading of ammunition cases. The press out pin will hit the bridge between the flame holes, a problem with military spent brass, but not a problem with sporting spent cases.
At present, because of the problem of local wars between the Federals and drug mafia in Mexico, ammunition is difficult for transport out of that area. At present, a very much amount of ammunition {9MM/223/7.62 {Winchester NATO} and 7.62MM {Russian} is being reversed shipped out of Phoenix Arizona being purchased by both sides. For the moment, this is highly excellent business for the weapons dealers with access for large ammunition purchases by virtue of their dealers license.
And as usual, I am in the wrong business.
Mary, it is indeed a nasty curse, that of being honest and with a conscience!
