What a great experience! Susan Boyle, 48 year old lady wins best ever score on Brit TV show for her rendition of song from "LES MIS". Comments from judges, "What a voice". If this is performance was not electronically engineered and we have all been duped, this lady can be a star.

Here is Susan's makeover: Susan Boyle 2.0: Debate Rages but Dye Is Cast LONDON, April 24 -- Whether she should have or shouldn't have, she did. Susan Boyle has dyed and cut her frizzy, graying locks and thinned her famous bushy eyebrows, a $57 sprucing-up that has become huge news in Britain. On Wednesday at the Miss Toner salon, with the blinds pulled down to give the unlikely global celebrity a little privacy, Boyle got a haircut, semi-permanent color rinse and eyebrow shaping, according to a receptionist at the salon in Whitburn, Scotland. Since she appeared April 11 on the television show "Britain's Got Talent," her decidedly unglamorous looks have become a subject of global debate. Many of her fans urged her not to let stylists change her look, while others advised that she pay more attention to her appearance. The Sun, the best-selling British tabloid, had dubbed her "Hairy Angel" but today referred to her as "Brunette's Got Talent." "I assure you it's not a major makeover," John Boyle, her brother, said in a telephone interview. "She is still the same Susan." As of Tuesday, Boyle's audition video posted on YouTube and other video-sharing sites had generated more than 116 million views, according to Visible Measures, a firm that tracks Internet video trends. Boyle's performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical "Les Misérables" will probably be the fastest-growing video of all time, said Matt Cutler, head of analytics at Visible Measures. Boyle's showstopping success has sparked a worldwide argument about the nature of beauty and celebrity. Her fans call her a refreshing change from the parade of airbrushed celebrities on the airwaves. www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/24/AR2009042402895.html?referrer=emailarticlemedia3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2009/04/24/PH2009042402151.jpg

I actually teared up watching her! You just cant judge a book by its cover. yes i saw her too. its nice to see her get the recognition she deserves. every person has a talent given by god. we can learn something new from anyone we meet. looks are so overrated. ive seen so many interviews with some of the most "beautiful" people and they are dumb as rocks. i do think she needed to update her look. so now she looks very nice. and she is unique. good luck to her!

Frankly, Susan is not any more ugly than the average person. She was just not taken care like people who are usually on stage. You really can make her look great. Did you notice that many opera singers are overweight? Somehow their voice sometimes go better with being slightly overweight.

It was a real pleasure to have a new voice like that come on the scene. Even more surprising and pleasing is seeing that she seems to have her feet firmly on the ground; she projects the self confidence to do what she wishes as she is and chooses to be and do things.
I hope she finds a good agent and becomes a regular on the entertainment scene. My own imagination is that she would do well to do a light coat of polish (as she has done) and continue to be herself, an original, and fit not into the pop scene but rather the talented diva category.
Hmmm .... an overnight success at 47!
