I have seen Nikifor movie. I liked it very much. The role of a male painter Nikifor vel Nikifor Krynicki vel Epifaniusz Drowniak, was played by the actress Krystyna Feldman! A trailer's hidden here, but you need to look for it Trailer in Polish is ZWIASTUN. Worth looking for just to see the lady looking exactly the Nikifor did. www.nikifor.com.pl/nikifor.phpThe movie is moving and its real main subject is friendship

I saw My Nikifor last year and I made it to the end which is somwhat significant beacause there were many films I'd stop watching after first 10 minutes or so if they were bad enough. I like the pictures in this film, it was shot in spa resort Krynica... I know Krystyna Feldman from other movies and couldn't forget that it was female playing male role I guess I was too much concentrating on her managing to be male-like throughout. It's about an artist life and his isolation perhaps. Film has no clousere and that could help but overall it is one of those european movies one would have hard time figureing out what was it all about. It's not great picture overall but if you like films in general it shouldn't iritate you with overly bad acting or surreal dialogues. Feldman who plays Nikifor was walking around Krynica spa dressed for her movie role and was chased away by security because they didn't want bums like him (her) around hahaha and that was to help her supposedly get into her role. She played well but as I said I was looking too much for signs of woman in her acting.

Nigdy w zyciu turned me off in first minutes so I cannot say much about it. Actors were fake, supposedly funny dialogues were not cutting it for me and so I did quit. It had a feel of detective TVserial with lots of good camera work and many pretty faces. Lot's of money was spend to promote it so it was a commercial success in first weeks though I believe but no critics were impressed, too.
