Krzys,
good idea. You should change the backgrounds because it is too bright. It is just hard to read anything from the website which has a background in such a bright red. I know that red is Polish color, still, you can use it as the addition but not in such overwhelming way,

Should I start a blog "I am proud to be Dutch", what is the purpous of this?
Yes, I am proud of the Netherlands, I am proud of my Polish roots, the Polish heritage of my Polish-Dutch mother, and proud to be an European!
But I am proud of my South-African sister too, and proud of my Polish-American cousins and their family, and etc. etc.
Good luck with your blog, I don't see the relevance of!

Sehr geehrte Herrren Krzysrapacz:
So, you wish to show off of national pride to us people? So for what you wish of?
For when you paint with a broad brush as of all, perhaps you have not learnt of common sense.... Some are not Polish, I am not Polish. I am German of your border East.
You are feeling perhaps forlorn? Or forgotten? Or an imitation?
Mit freundLichen Grußen

Hi Pieter,
I love Dutch culture and Dutch spirit but I hate when people always think that I am from Holland (not Poland), as like they did not know anything about Poland. You Dutch made them aware of your culture much more than our folks

Very nice is Netherlands. But what's the problem I don't understand. If there is a proud of Dutch why be astonished and react on the Poles pride? Go Polska. Go EUROPE.

Cube, You have your right to the pride of Poland or your Polish heritage, and to be poud of that, but what's the use of making a single issue blog of it? Proboards Polish culture forum is an exellent website or blog with people who are connected to their Polish roots or their Polishness (the Poles who live in Poland or abroad, amongst us). I don't believe in Nationalist or Patriotic blogs, but maybe that's just my personal, cultural, political and subjective view. Proud of the Netherlands is the name of one of the new Dutch parties in the Netherlands! It is something like that. Sure people are proud of their country, city, heritage, history and national identity, wether they are Labour, Conservative, liberal or Proud of the Netherlands voters! Here a proud of the Netherlands add: www.trotsopnederland.com/ (One of the anti-establishment parties, together with the PVV and SP -Socialist Party) Pieter

Pieter, Nobody yet know what will be the blog like . The guy came here to make known there is one. For me it is better to say big yes to all who active do something first. Then look what done and decide. Not the other way. First say big 'no'. You say your mother is Polish-Dutch. So you are ¼ Polish and you say proud of. What do you do about this? Critisize only? Not all 'national' proud is bad nationalism you must know. There is national proud as part of Europe. I am very proud of Poland what she done and that I am Polish. This proud is not against anybody but part of Europe. When somebody is proud for example Netherlands I dont instantly stick my Polish proud. Why so strange in Polish Forum is Polish pride for you, I understand not. To be not proud or indifferent to roots led in France to no good – in south (have you been lately in Marseille for example) there is no France no more. If nothing change France is drown. You have something resembling in Netherlands. In Germany -Turks. Your Dutch-American friendship you are proud will not help if we not help not plus ourselves. In Europe. With German, Swedes, Spaniards all proud what they changed Europe into. Well, even the Greeks Don't take personal please, I like your mail otherwise! Peace!

hello again Pieter. For you I found quickly something.
Look, these guys were not so privilged in their life as probably you got chance. Still they are proud of Polish. Do they look as they are against someone or just proud of roots proud of their motherland Poland in Europe?
(multilanguage subtitle option available)
And this guy? Is he against America or just proud of Poland?
And those guys. Do they dislike France you think?
Well. I think I made my point. Even if wrong it is made sincerely.
best to you!

Hi Pieter, I love Dutch culture and Dutch spirit but I hate when people always think that I am from Holland (not Poland), as like they did not know anything about Poland. You Dutch made them aware of your culture much more than our folks Jaga I understand of your consternation as for why it would seem of both Pieter and my self to be off with this person. For I {we} understand of personal pride to be Polish, and as it must be, for Poland is of yours, your home land. For this is important, for it is the foundation of your being. For Poland is yours and for all those across the land, yours/theirs motherland. For Poland is very well respected amongst us as a close neighbour. It is just this fellow, rather he meant well or perhaps no. The resulting inferment was very detrimental. For the statement of {So Lets Show Some Polish Pride and Shut These Snobby Americans up}. For that is not only a cheap shot at Americans, it is very low grade in intellectual with inference of school childishness enthusiasm. I would be offended if offered to my self. For as counter check for mis-understanding of his statement, I was then to check with an American word book of Dictionary {Webster New World Dictionary Third Colledge Edition} Quote {Pride} {An unduly high opinion of oneself; exaggerated self esteem; conceit}b. haughty behaviour resulting from this; arrogance}. I truly do not believe this is your self or of the entirety of membership here. I truly believe your self and all those of membership are above this level by considerable. It is good to hold and have pride in yours/ours home land. For it was that land that produced us, with all that we are. Our intrinsic reactions/thoughts/training and all that was of our respective families, for of them, that we are. WE Think, There For, We Are.. Karl

I am sorry to prolong my part here and intrude again but please bear for a while. Since I become active in this conversation and will not be sure to prolong it few next days let me speak. Karl, I have no unanbridged Webster dictionary but use online free dictionary. www.thefreedictionary.com/ProudnessThe FIRST meaning is '1. Feeling pleasurable satisfaction over an act, possession, quality, or relationship by which one measures one's stature or self-worth: proud of one's child; proud to serve one's country.' You must dig really deep to understand to be proud as stiff upper lip. As to Americans. Yes I will say it even here in Polish-American forum, the American are generally are very proud. I read Kaima and other here. Not arrogant. Is he exception to the rule or a rule? But this all not important Karl . Important is - so what do we do. We all take your Webster book, take sophisticated kindness, tolerance, manners. We put proud in dustbin. And then we go face the proud, very proud external world. Not just America, as in the bottom they are what we are. Everybody proud except we, Europe. We are too sophisticate to be proud. And we are no more.

I forgot to place the next meaning from the dictionary 2. Occasioning or being a reason for pride: "On January 1, 1900, Americans and Europeans greeted the twentieth century in the proud and certain belief that the next hundred years would make all things possible" (W. Bruce Lincoln). 3. Feeling or showing justifiable self-respect. 4. Filled with or showing excessive self-esteem. 5. Of great dignity; honored: a proud name. 6. Majestic; magnificent: proud alpine peaks. 7. Spirited. Used of an animal: proud steeds. Strange, but only the fourth meaning has excessive self-esteem in it!! So I am justified to say again: Go POLSKA
