This is unusual story - trying to modernize Chopin....The Polish government has dropped plans to distribute a comic book in Germany about composer Frederik Chopin after it was found to contain vulgar language, local media reported Tuesday. The comic, New Romantic, was to be distributed to German students to promote the Polish composer's music on the occasion of his 200th birthday. The book included a fictional episode in which a skinhead accompanies Chopin to a prison concert and uses swear words. The intent was to grab young reader's attention. Production of the comic books, which cost 30,000 euros (40,000 dollars), was sponsored by the Foreign Ministry and the Polish embassy in Berlin. Distribution was cancelled after a local news broadcaster obtained a copy and reported that it contained vulgar language. Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said Tuesday he was not familiar with the comic book and could not comment. www.monstersandcritics.com/news/europe/news/article_1621107.php/Poland-withdraws-Chopin-comic-book-because-of-vulgar-language
