In case you didn't know, I'll be moving to Florida in the beginning of July. I just keep moving all over the place, don't I?
The good news - no more winter, snow, cold, slipping on ice.
The bad news - I have to move away from my friends... again!

Eric,
I think this may be good for you! I think you always had a good time in Florida and you should also be able to find a job there with no problems. Keep us updated

Maybe I just get bored spending too much time in one place. After Florida, I may move to Havana. Or Mars.

Eric
I am happy for you..Life is much too short to be unhappy,,and it would so seem rather we wish it or not, the road of life comes to a bend, and we must make a choice, but then, our path and direction is always infront of us and that is our direction we must follow.
Florida, the Bahamas, Virgin islands, Caribbean not to matter which, but one of the above would certainly be my choice....
I have not enjoyed the pleasure to have visited Miami, but I understand there is a large community of Cuban people living there. It would so seem your knowledge of Spanish should come quite well handy...

My knowledge of Spanish? ¡Dios mio! Yo comprendo uno pequito, pero no hablo español bien. I've lived my whole life in northern climates (Massachusetts and northwestern Russia), so I will certainly miss the full change of seasons and the fall foliage. On the other hand, I will certainly not miss snow, ice, cold, blizzards... But I also hate heat. Central Florida has two seasons: warm and dry, and hot wet. "Lucky" me.

I grew up in Ohio where people seem to have a fascination with Florida. I didn't hurry to see the place, but have been down there about 6 times now, just one of which left a really nice impression with me, primarily because of the people I met there. I don't think I could take the climate with heat and humidity, and putting on a jacket to enter air conditioned buildings doesn't appeal.
It will be quite a change for you, Eric. Good luck!
Kai

Thank you! Whatever shall I do with all of my coats, hats, scarves, and all that other heavy clothing I had to wear for the first 28 years of my life?
