We read with Ela book about Paris "This is Paris". It had wonderful pictures done by Czech, Miroslav Sasek. The illustrations were so good that I tried to find more info about him:

If you would have any chance, please check your local library for any of the books. Sasek had a real talent. It reminds me a bit about our Polish Marcin Szancer.
