They have a strong winter storm in Poland and Eastern Europe right now, but generally winters are not that severe like 60-100 years ago. Here are some photos from winters in the past: (the winters of 1930s and 1940s were very severe, some of these pictures were done during the WWII. The first pictures show people drinking hot tea on the streets during economical crisis of 30s: deser.pl/deser/56,116702,11070087,Kiedys_to_byly_zimy__Tak_z_mrozem_i_sniegiem_radzono.html

When I was born (January 1992) we didn't have car so my mom had to go by herself to the hospital. She told me she almost freeze and lost me. But she make it and here I am Right now, sometimes temperatures are really low and it's hard to breath or do anything outside.

Our parents were strong people in their time, it is to our selves to carry on this strength... You and my self have a great age difference, your self as birth year of 1992, whilst my self as birth year 1940. Our similar interest has no time stamp. By reference of your post, you are in Poland? As time allows, another member, Pieter of The Netherlands will make your acquaintance. But all in good time... Karl

Yes, I live here. So as my parents and grandparents. That's why my english is awful Dear Martolina, If to help, I do not see so much your English is so bad...With use upon this forum and spell check, I am very confident it will become more easy for you. I do not speak or understand Polish, in this manner, you are in advantage over my self. Is English spoken in your house? If so, this becomes more simple in practice, for then every word has a meaning to relate to. As time evolves and we become more comfortable, perhaps in short future we may explore and share our experiences. I have been a long term member of the forum, and it would be such a bore to go into details of personal. Karl
