I went to High School with Gene Cornish from the "Young Rascals" Lou Gramm (Grammatico) is from Rochester Sad about him. I just recently saw him in WalMarts near my work as he lives in the area. Shortly after that they had a news feature int the paper about him. He is recovering from a brain tumor. Also we have Chuck Mangione from Rochester. First album Feel so Good. (now an old timer) We also have Phillip Seymour Hoffman who I think is an excellent actor. (Truman Capote) Who is famous from your town.

Rdywenur, that song of foreigner makes me melancholical, it reminds me of the second half of my teenage years, in the second stage of the eightees. I also liked Womak & Womak in that time.
WOMACK AND WOMACK - TEARDROPS
And do you remember this one;

Pieter,
I have to say sorry to Womack and Womack. I 'm not sure I ever heard of them and the song is not familiar. But yes to Shy Shy. I think that was Kajaggogoo's one and only hit and then they disappeared as so many other one hitter's. Weren't they around with Boy George's time. I'm trying to put what time frame of the 80's they were in...the end part I think. I liked Boy George too.
Music and scents I think are two powerful memory jerkers.

Interesting the style of music cooresponding to the time period of our different lives.
We refered to rock n roll {hip hop} as {swing music} suppose this means I am out of my time period {out dated}. Even with the stations playing the {Oldies} refers back to the 80s. In my mind the {Oldies} should be the 30s-40s. I actually have a preferance for those years {only in music}. {the 30s predates my birth time}
Oh well
Charles

I remember that on the last night out in Krakow, they played this number in the dancing we were going out, dancing with the Poles.
New Order - Regret
My impression was that Poland was (is) a New Wave (Gothic) country.
New Order - Blue Monday
