J.J.
Please do not be embarrassed, but in this stead, please be honoured. For you have been sorely missed by the most of us, and it was of such pleasure to see your post once again upon our shores, that is of yours also I may add.
And as Pieter so rightly mentioned, your avatar is so catchy to the eye.
Once again, welcome!!

Thank you Karl,
I still am not sure as to how I dropped out of the forum. I do know I had to break down my hard drive completely. I even ended the partition on the drive and started from scratch.
Currently I have of PC HD backup with a lot of protection. I don't believe in cloud computing so this is in my possession.
But, thank you all and hope I can restore all of my previous statistics on the forum.

I still am not sure as to how I dropped out of the forum. I can't figure this one out, either. 100% of your account information is stored on the forum's servers, not on your computer. So long as you know your login information (username & password), you can log into the forum from any computer in the world, from a different computer every day, etc. If your original account has actually disappeared, please understand that it has nothing to do with your recent computer difficulties. It means one of three things: you accidentally went through the steps to delete it, somebody with illegal access to your account information deleted it, or the forum's server somehow had a serious enough problem that it deleted it without anybody's permission. It's such a shame that you have to start over literally from scratch, losing a direct connection to all of your previous contribution in this forum. Are you absolutely, positively sure that your original account is lost forever? So long as you know your original username, I'm sure a solution can be found.

I agree with Eric for what he has said makes good sense. But at similar, I would suspect another situation{s} has evolved of which we as people have little control.
One is those despicable people called hackers and/or you have enemies to make your life more difficult. If to give attention to the large numbers of visitors upon this site, is some what interesting as to why they are here, For what reason do they lurk, and who are they?
Two, computers are not infallible contrary to the designers. For simply to think for a moment out side the box: Would you purchase an auto that requires constant updates to keep operating correctly? For in this instance is the factual matter that computers are imperfect and not completely designed.
Of the above, it is not out of the realm of reality of failure within the main server whilst in process of updating or what ever.
In short, who knows? What is important is you are back and here once again.
A tiny secret: It was a suspicion of my own that some thing of this nature occurred. We as people {most} are fearful of the unknown, for we know not what to expect or for why? In this manner, it is our nature to always wish for answers to all questions...
