I just tried today a new recipe. It is easy, my Polish friend living here told me about it.
Buy frozen dinner bagels buy poppy seed (cake and pastry filling) - in a small can - should be available in cake and filling section in every grocery
let the dinner rolls stand on the baking pan for 3-4 hours to grow. Prehead the oven to 350 F, drill the hole into the rolls and place some poppy from the can there and try to stick it back together,
bake for ~ 20 minutes

Jaga, Jaga.....save yourself the trouble. Run down to your nearest Dunkin Doughnuts. They have very good poppy seed bagels. No muss, no fuss.

Chris, thank you. No, George did not intimidate me. I am not sure he is talking about the same poppy bages. I have the picture for now, the recipe would be soon! I wish the picture was better:

Chris,
I need to post the recipe soon, but it is very simple. You need to buy in any grocery store:
frozen white dinner rolls - there is usually the recipe on it how to prepare it. The recipe is on the plastic bag where the rolls are. You need to place it on the pan - coated with spray; cover with plastic wrap coated with cooking spray also so that the bagels would not stick to it and leave in the possibly warm place for 3-4 hours. The rolls should raise - then dig a hole on the side and fill the rolls inside with the poppy seed filling (you can buy it in many groceries, it is of the size of a small soup can and you can find it usually in cake filling sections. After filling the roll try to stick together the edges of dough. The rolls would be flattened but if you leave it for a half of hour to raise - they would raise - then preheat the oven to 350 F and place the rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes, the rolls should raise even more and change a color into the golden. Then take it out of the oven - they are ready to eat!
Good luck!
