bujno, thanks for the tip. We walk along Freta quite often, probably will today although everywhere will be closed! Cost is an issue. Here in Warsaw the prices for anything "specially imported" are just so crazy that whilst I might be able to afford it, I refuse to buy. I might splash out on one Kona coffee pack though, just to see what you're all talking about. Mind you - taking a coffee recommendation from an American is like taking tips on diplomacy from a North Korean!

Jaga...yesterday on my pit stop to Marshalls they have Kona coffee there. I did not buy any then but will return to get some when I am ready to brew a cup...maybe this weekend. If you have a Marshalls in your area you must stop to get some too.

Well, I finally found bujno's african coffee shop on Freta and purchased some Kona coffee. I am now officially poor. It cost 88 PLN (roughly $30) for 10 deco (880 PLN, roughly $300 per kilo!!) Needless to say I bought the smallest possible amount, 10 deco.
It is not ground properly for a squeeze type espresso machine such as I have but I tried it anyway. The way it came out was fairly mild but distinctive flavour. Creamy with a strong hint of caramel. Does that sound about right? I shall try it in the cafetiere next and see if that makes it any different.
At that price, this will be last Kona coffee of my life, so I'll make the most of it.
