Joyce Hope the biopsy goes (has gone well). We all seem to be having health problems at this time! We must be getting old - not as old as me!! Leslie

Thank you for all the warm wishes. I had the biopsy, which went well. Now the hardest part is yet to come. Waiting for the results of the tests. It will be about 2 weeks wait. Yes, that is a long time to wait. The dr is looking for a certain disease called microscopic polyarteritis. If that is not found they will look for cancer or other reasons why my kidneys are not functioning correctly.

Joyce,
You are in my prayers for good results and that they find what the problem is and fix it.
The wait is nerve wrenching, but try to keep good thoughts and have happy holidays.

Joyce, I hope that everything will be well. I am sorry I did not write earlier. Somehow I overlooked this information about your biopsy. You are also in my prayers! Jaga this forum is a busy place! There are many posts to read and many pictures to look at. I am still trying to view all the pictures that Pawian has posted, plus read the posts and I haven't dug into the archives yet! Sometimes it's hard to keep up. Thank you for the prayers. I wish that no one has to go thru extensive medical testing. Charles-the Polyarteristis is not common to me but the kidney doctors are aware of it. I have several of the symptoms of it, and the only way to tell for sure that it is MP is thru the kidney biopsy. For many years I have been told that I have diabetes-but yet my sugar levels are within a normal range but my body is still sick according to the massive amounts of bloodwork.

Joyce, Have your results come back yet? Yes, they finally came back-on Wednesday-the dr said my kidney failure is a result of the advanced Diabetes I have. There is no cancer-thank goodness, or any Lupus or weird kidney disease like that microscopic polyarteritis. I just have to watch my diet-limit my sodium and potassium levels and watch how much protein I eat. Hollister-I don't know your real name... By the way, I was reading another thread-I forgot which one now-that you had made a comment as to being half way thru your chemo treatments. Would you mind if I was nosy and asked you about your chemo treatments and what kind of cancer you have/had? Other than the chemo-are you receiving any other advanced medicines for your blood levels such as Procritt shots? Do you have a good support system for your medical and otherwise?
