Boy oh boy, now that is a mushroom of mushrooms! The question of," What would I do with it"?. Well, my answer would be to in first, photografe it as what has been done. Then before it spoils, cut it up as it is intended for, divide and give away to friends what I would not be able to eat..
I am not a cook, so not sure if it is ok to can it and/or freeze for preservation for later use.
In the fall of the year, we picked mushrooms after the first frost in the forest. Most always cooked then up as a gravy or in a stew. Or, fried them in a skillet with what ever cooking oil we had. Always enjoyed the heavy tast of mushrooms.
