www.centralnewyorker.com/index.htmlCame across this interesting link and thought I'd share. I particularly liked the bird cam. (my favorite a cardinal and some wild turkeys) We have wild turkeys here near the lake and during dinner time may spot them crossing the road. Also some tips for gardening and flowers.

That was an interesting link. I liked the flowers, of course I am not very smart with flower names, but, beuty is what it is about. The flowers were so bright a person almost could smell the fragarance.
Any idea of who the photos are of?
I have never had the good occasion to travel to New York. For some reason, I had always harboured the impression the city was elbow to elbow people, heavy traffic conjestion and crime. I had not thought of the beauty that must be there..

Charles I believe it is a personal website that someone put up and shares. I do not know who they are personally. The bird Cam is a video. I would prefer a live one. Where I work we have a birdhouse that one of the nurses put up and feeds the birds. We have all kinds of birds coming there to feast. Our office is in the suburbs and behind our office is a wooded area. We see quite a lot of different birds there. I personally have seen a woodpecker and we have yellow finches and cardianls and blue birds and black bird with a red wing. One year we even had a duck make a nest in the bushes around the building. Every so often a deer will wander through. It is funny because the smokers are out there 24/7 and they will spot something and come in and announce what they just witnessed. Five minutes later we have the whole building come out to check it.
CNY is more upstate and not close to NYC. The city is great but all cities you must be careful and it is not as bad as you think. Just don't go wandering alone. I ythink you would have enjoyed both. I am in the fingerlakes region and here are many vineyards nearby. New York is also becoming quite a name on its own for good wine.

Chris
Thank you for your update on NYC. And you are correct, as not have ever been there, and know only what I have read, heard and watched on TV, I am very ignorant of it.
I was laughing some what over your smokers there...it is funny, but, so factual. The smokers are out side and witness what ever is in the area...

Chris (Rdyw...) Put me straight, please. Central New York is not in fact the centre of the city of New York? I'm making a guess as an ignorant Anglik - CNY is the central part of New York State? Or is it outside New Orleans??!! Leslie (I have abdicated my KHCB as Easter has now passed and all the hcbs have been eaten)
