here is a view from our hotel (Radisson hotel on the 18 floor). But the 13 floor was missing.... the hotel was in the middle of the city, expensive, but it did not even have a refrigerator. more views from the hotel with Ela

Interesting building in Cambridge (where Harvard and MIT are located) and more Boston: this was on the Quinzy market somehow related to the revolutionary war and the wharf but maybe somebody else would explain because I do not really know

Jaga
Highly excellent photos of your Boston visit!!
The Boston Public Library is simply Magnificent, to say the least!
Your photos of {The First Church of Christ Scientist} were very wonderful and eye catching. What a wonderful church, and so very rich!!
The Children's Museum is a wonderful idea. So excellent for enrichment to a wonderful children's experience.
I see the tour company has hired a new {Duck Bus Operator}! I would wonder the requirements, would this be with only that of a Autobus for land and water, or requirements of both Autobus and sea papers for a 1st officer for ships navigation/propulsion and operation......
I enjoyed the street scene photos. For they display the buildings and creates in the minds eye, what life is like in Boston through the camera lens.

Charles,
thanks for nice comments. Yes, I did tones of photos in Boston, probably too many! It seems that today everybody is off. Whenever I am gone the forum seems to be very busy with many posters, I am back and nobody is there. What is going on guys? Do you use the last weeks of summer?

Jaga it is Holiday weekend. Most people go away for the last hurrah of summer. I use to and up until my BIL passed away and then his wife had to sell their camp on the St Lawrence River I was there each holiday. I was toying with the idea of visiting my brother in Albany but I hate driving the past few years. Now I only do it if the wind just blows a certain way and I am in the mood for a spur of the moment getaway. Weather will be perfect over the weekend here but I hear on the news it is bad in the West especially AZ. Back to Albany.... our capital and very close to Boston so looks very similar especially the photo where you said it was 2 of your favorites...old and new. It is like that there too.

Jaga
I certainly do hope my queastion is not silly foolish, but the Radisson Hotel is equipped with 18 levels, it makes no sense to have vacant or mis-count of one floor?
Perhaps the one floor is still being in stages of construction?
Perhaps, I am missing some thing?

Chris, you need to post more pictures from your neighborhood, not only from the Polish dinner Maybe you posted it already and I somehow missed it? You are right, people are gone for a long weekend. Since we had a big trip to Boston we do not really plan any huge get away this time. Ela was still at school today, my hubby had a day off and I had a day off as usual ;D

Since Americans are supersticious and the hotels want to have a good business, many hotels do not have a 13 floor. Radisson had 24 floor, but 13 was just missing, you could see it in the elevator. This was not the only level missing, instead of floors 8 and 9 was so called "P" - pool level, so at least it was not just that there was not 14 floor
