I have followed this webcam site in Bornheim, South Germany for several years now and find it the best of all the stork webcams I have looked at. The male and female come back to the same nest every year. This year there were 5 eggs, 3 hatched and developed into adolescent storks who have now flown away - the male and female disappear during the day and still return each evening.. This is the first time I have seen a street fair taking place in Bornheim - it seems a lovely little town and they have just opened a big stork centre there. Sorry about the state of the nest, but someone must have taken their cleaning broom away!! There is also a nest on the top of the church in the background - Bornheim 2; this one is webcam Bornheim 1. Boy those storks were crappy housekeepers! Appears they simply stepped up as they dumped until out of room....
Bornheim is in Hessen, I have never been there and most likely do not ever plan to. It is typical of many of those small villages. Once you arrive, it is good to leave.

Here is what you missed on Polish cam...too late they have gone to Africa for the winter. Come back next spring 2008.
Looks like we are better housekeepers too. ;D

Leslie...Danke schoen.....much better. Actually I wouldn't mind checking out the street fair. I think it is far enough away from the nest to not be a target. ;D ;D
