I am pretty sure many of you saw this famous photo before, what is it about, what is striking there?

This is the girl that a National Geographic photographer took and they had it on the cover many years ago. They then wished to find her many years later and do a story. I don't think they knew her name at the time. She was found but because of her religion did not wish to be photographed or interviewed. She has since married and lives a regular live in a Middle East country. (sorry forgot where)

Chris, Nancy thanks! Actually I found her story (not the picture, I saw the picture before) in Wikipedia searching for colors of eyes:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_color there was a reference for Afghan people (Pashtuns) having [glow=green,2,300]green eyes[/glow]. Green eyes are also popular in East-Central Europe of course! She is afghan, she was found in the camp, after many years of searching the journalist was able to locate her again. Here is her current picture: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharbat_Gulaand the story

By the way, this woman was born in 1972 and now she really looks like the old woman! She had a difficult life, no wonder

By the way, this woman was born in 1972 and now she really looks like the old woman! She had a difficult life, no wonder Can't see the photo, even on wiki ... But you know, the original picture of her, when she was younger, always struck me that she may have had a thyroid problem (because her eyes seemed to bulge a bit).
