Happy Fourth, everyone! I hope we all enjoy a sunny and enjoyable family day! There is quite a history of the flag changing over time and this shows one part of it: This is one I will buy and fly if congress were ever silly enough to pass a "protect the flag" ammendment to the constitution. That might last until they arrested the first shapely young girl in a flag bikini. Kai Happy 4th !

Yanc, Don't you have 4th of July in Poland? If you insist, you don't have to have a happy fourth. It is your free choice! You can even skip from the 3rd to the 5th as far as I am concerned. Kai PS Realizing you were joking. Oh, just to round out the happy wishes, have a very happy un-birthday as well.

PS. Do you expect some big alien ships to visit your cities today so the Will Smith could save the world? ;-)

Charles
I know that film, at least its title, though I don't remember watching it. Plot sounds interesting, so I will lease the film if I can find a copy here.

Charles,
The Day the Earth Stood Still with Michael Rennie was great in 1951. It would be interesting to see it now without all the Hollywood effects.

Jim But how would they produce it with out holly wood effects? As a little fellow was when I watched it, and boy, was it scary! The robot was without voice, how do you negotiate with a machine that will not talk? Also, the people talked too quickly and it was difficult to understand. Another film, had you seen: War of The Worlds... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_War_of_the_Worlds_(1953_movie)Now that was scary...A what if with all the stars coming down out of the sky! With those death rays, what of the over shots? If they were shooting at one thing, and the death ray blasted through ever thing any way, gollies, we could be killed over the next hill, how ever forested that it was or not. Charles
