Dear Sekan,
Welcome on board. I watched your video with interest. It is an artistic made video, due to the unusual compositions and editing. I love it (with my fine art background). Interesting to hear how these Polish men and women, boys and girls (or young men and women) deal with the troubles in Northern-Ireland. Interesting that one of the Poles called the Leftwing Nationalist Irish republican cause a 'non Roman Catholic cause', because he sees these Irish radicals as Marxists and Che Guevara followers. He considers them to be non-catholics. The Polish priest is a jolly fellow.
Also interesting to hear the motivations of these Poles to leave their homeland Poland and to settle in Northern-Ireland. It was sad to hear that the young man of the Polish couple don't dar to return to Poland. It is hard to understand for me. I am not Polish, but half Polish due to a Polish mother. I understand Poland and some Polish issues of Poles over there. Polish Diaspora life is more alien to me. My mother has become Dutch, and the Dutch Poles for me are compatriots, because they moved here to stay. I am different than them, because I am raised 100% Dutch, and they are part of the Polish community in the Netherlands (they are 100% Poles). I know that in my town there is a Polish community of about 800 people, that they have Polish mass in the Dutch Roman Catholic church on sunday and that they have their community life. But since I don't speak Polish and don't know many of them I don't know a lot about their lives and situation.
The Polish community is invisible. Okay they have some shops and cultural events, but they are white European people, who dress like Dutch people. They are hard to distinguish from Dutch people. Only when they talk Polish they are recognizable as Poles.
Cheers, Pieter
