Interesting. What do you prefer, squares or circles?

Appears to be two different concepts designed for a common purpose. One as a time proven square of concentrated population, centralized high density area. Efficient use of available land use with large area of land mass suitable for tillage.
Whilst the circle concept has the common designed use as a hub designed high population density of private homes. Still a square but large enough to contain a large number of similar, but divided hub high density design with less efficient use of land space being as each hub unit follows a similar green belt separation.
Each green belt separation would each in turn be very suitable for various types of recreational activities.
My rathers in this case, would be the roundel hub concept, if I was given a choice. I am not traditional enough to wish for any more flats divided by a wall from another.

I still believe in "community" so I'd choose squares. Notice that those living in circles are bound to meet at parking lot or over the fence. It's a very "car culture" settlement. If I was a mayor of that square rynek town I'd ban cars there. "apartment" comes probably from "apart" (apart from each other?) but as one poet says " we stink at each others nostrils" and the other one says "hell is other people" so I too have my doubts in "community".

I did not know that Olsztyn is built in circles. Actually, Paris intersections are built in stair-shape not in circles. Here is Idaho Falls where I live. We have two different symetries - one reflect the direction of the Snake river and another is according to South-North directions. So, sometimes streets intersect at strange angles!
