In the first place, the Schengen as an excellent idea that needed further refinement. One mistake though was to make one shoe to fit all feet. 2nd mistake was to create by force, all complete open borders to any an all to enter with out a check. 3rd, to make one common currency for all with out any conditions.
For the above has by history, has created problems with some memberstates to take advantage of for vested interest that were/are of not so honest merit.
Now at present, industrial member states are being taken advantage of by such leper states as Greece and poorer states that are exporting by design or otherwise their unwanted populations. With this, is the currant African populations escaping the abuses of their own nations to flood into Europe.
Our life boats of welfare was never designed to accomidate such numbers as at present being experienced. There comes a time to say no, or face drowning.
These are most all simply people attempting to escape from a life of despair and poverty to a land of opportunity. The problem with us is these people are bringing their previous problems and issues with them, and, we do not need this.
