When I come in from outdoors feeding the sheep I have a pot of chicken noodle soup. In the cold weather I keep a pot simmering on the side of the stove. That is good for warming up. Here is my soup Witaj Wuju Johnie :-) And thanks for your pictures - I remmeber the deers photo you've posted very well! May I ask how many sheep do you have? And - BTW - am I right that you're left handed?

I have four sheep left. One of my Rams died two weeks ago. I still have one Ram and three ewes. I am right handed.

Do you sell the sheep or keep them for wool? I guess I have to explain why I ask about you being left-handed. I saw your picture and all the kettles stand with their spouts the right. This is usual way the kettle stands in the kitchen of a left-handed person

I like the stove - it reminds me of the one my grandmother had.

John,
I also like the stove. It reminds me the grandmother stove! I wish I could join you for a soup. I had some flu recently, chicken soup would be great!

You can have up to twenty Ewes for one Ram. I keep the Sheep and Goats as a hobby. I do save the wool but it is expensive to process. Sometimes I process it myself but since I do not have any use for it I just give it away to my sister. Working with the animals keeps me busy. I use the stove for cooking all winter, it also puts extra heat in the kitchen. When I was young we always had a kitchen stove so it reminds me of my childhood. The kettles are facing that way because one has a name on it and I do not like it to show since it is John Wagner, not mine.

John, is that really your stove? I've only seen something like that in a museum before!

Eric, I bought it new twenty years ago. They are still making them. This one was made in Canada. I like it because it saves on oil and reminds me of my childhood. We always cooked on wood or coal at that time. I cook on it all winter.
