For any of you who have traveled in Europe, you know they relay heavily on pictograms instead of written road signs as we do in the US. Here are a few the German magazine Spiegel thought noteworthy at www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/0,5538,17792,00.html tinyurl.com/384o5s*** the photos are not coming through, so the challenge is to match up the titles below tiht eh photos above *** the Tinyurl should take you to the string of 28 photos in the original. from a crocodile farm .. One of my shocks in German was how many different meanings "straight ahead" can take on (in German, Geradeaus) If you get lost trying to follow this one, it is no surprise ... This one is not at all strange, but may be new to you ... I have a photo of a doglsed parked at an airport next to a warning sight "caution, jet blast zone". Good German, "When Beer is served, Resident Traffic Only". "Attention! Shooters Festival!" OK, everthing comes from China today, so here is one from China and the AMericans do their best .. and to drive home our superiority in road signs...
