Pawian, the church changes the tradition stays. Karp Jewish style - I thought it is carp in jelly?Btw. how to properly name 'karp w galarecie' in English, my dear teacher? Is carp in jelly ok?
Charles, don't believe Pawian! It is true that kutia looks like parrots' feed but it is a parrots' feed with a lot, A LOT of rum.
Kulebiak is just that. The stuffing may be or may be not delicious.
Chris, not a fish eater here either, but I like the zander. We have a special family squadron of 5-6 to do the cooking.
Every several years we have such a gathering with many family coming. I was told t the biggest get-together was over 70 people. The dessert are cakes, including some like Piwo shown. Kutia is also usually eaten at the end as a dessert, not at the beginning which I know happens. The real "cake madness" begins on Christmas Day only. And the cakes festival is on Easter ;D ;D ;D

Thank you ever so much! If you guys cook so much this way, you have a friend of my self for ever!!
I only of one question, are you guys Jewisch? It is ok how ever, for in my travels, for most of the holidays, I was not home, but in this stead, a stranger in a foreign land, and as so, would remove my mind of year time as Holiday, and as so, would remove from my self any associated related stress.
Whilst in Israel, one of the young ladies {a working relations ship} invited me to be with her family for the Chanukkah of Christmas two days of only I was allowed.
It was a wonderful two days of with their family and with their remembrance. There were so much to eat and drink for those two days, I was to return to my duties, but I think they {family} were to continue their festivities long past my departure.
