This type of cake/bagel is made of flour, yeast and water and some salt.
we call it in Polish "lepioszki". These types of bagels are popular in Ukraine, Kirgizia etc.

I have heard that they are very good.
By the way - what the word "lepyoshki" comes from?

Jaga are the lepi filled at all. The ladies in the foto look more Ukranian than Polish. How does one eat these. I see a lady that looks as if she is serving honey or is that tea. The cans of peas are written in English. Interesting.
For the meaning of this word I am feeling the lepy comes from bread (chleb) and the oshki from ear maybe due to shape. Elephant ears. ;D

Hey Piwo are you practicing your Polish writing latley. Good for you. You are a few steps ahead of me. I can read it and can only copy and paste it. ;D ;D ;D It takes me a while to write a letter, and I am copying one over to good handwriting now. So I do tend to get into spells where I inject more into posts, since my mind is at least temporarily going through the drill! To try and keep my mind active in what little Polish I have, when I hear a question at work, I try to formulate the response in Polish. I"m usually one verb and an adjective off!

Did you ever had a chance to eat lepyoshki: Yes I had, when I was in Kirgiziya at my childhood, but at present this type of bread becomes very popular in Moscow. It is made without yeast.
