Such a shame the flower of youth wasted in such senseless violence one against the other, usually the stronger against the weaker.
One factor though that is not considered, we are spoilt with our prosperity. We live in a world of total protection from hunger/war/from desease. Even to our respective autos with the many protective devices such as airbags/safety glass/ and so on. We have our hospitals and medicine that save us from deseases. Parents protect their children from want and give them expensive toys such as cell phones, computers and electronic toys, all as throw away when a new design comes about on the market.
There is the fear amongst young people of their future or lack of future they would wish for. The days of easy work their parents enjoyed in the post war years when workers were needed for the facturies. For in those days, there was a need for every thing of transportation/cloths/house whole goods/ every thing was building. Those times are over, for now with the vast population increases and with this the competitive nature of the job market has vastly increased. For industry needs not the former muscle and hammer workers, industry needs high tech skilled workers to fill those vacancies of need.
What is missing is: The three fingers of progress melted to gather to form a whole: Industry in conjuction with training schools and Government. For each will compliment the other in filling the needs of projection. For most all industry rather be it light, heavy or technical in the manner of their respective business plan, will project in to the future based upon projections, the need for employees/expansion or holding pattern dependant upon projected fields of experience.
Although perhaps not so well known, most western Governments operate upon the above plan but under a different name plate.
No matter what is wrong or who is the blaime, this is the world we built, better of worse. Even though with the many faults, I love it, no one has brought forth a better one.
Pieter, the violence among youth is always a sad problem. The only positive I see - that now almost everything is on the camera, so at least people who initiate it can be caught, as well as what happens later on, who did what. Still sad.
I agree with Karl:
+++ There is the fear amongst young people of their future or lack of future they would wish for. +++
