A great resource for checking out on line books is www.books.google.com One book they have on line, in full, is "Our Slavic Fellow Citizens" by Emily Greene Balch published in 1910. It presents a rather sympathetic look at Slavic immigrants at a time when anti-immigration feelings were directed toward our ancestors. For a short overview you can go to books.google.com/books?id=wzgSAAAAIAAJ&dq=slavic+citizensand for a full download of the book, search for it at www.books.google.com and look for the "download" button to the right of the screen - 13.5 MB for the entire book. The woman herself is rather intresting ...Emily Greene Balch (1867-1961) UNITED STATES Social worker and reformer, professor of economics and sociology .... Kai
