majority of Polish parlamentarists from both parties supported ban fur farming and the use of animals in circuses or keeping animals under barbed fecnes in leash. This bill also split the coalition. www.politico.eu/article/animal-rights-bill-threatens-to-break-polands-ruling-coalition/Poland's conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party risks losing control over the country's ruling coalition thanks to an unexpected dispute over an animal rights bill. The animal rights bill, which seeks to ban fur farming and the use of animals in circuses, lies close to the heart of PiS's cat-loving leader Jarosław Kaczyński but threatens to undermine Warsaw's governing right-wing coalition. Many in the conservative camp say that the ban would affect the entire agricultural sector and they do not want to alienate core rural constituencies. This new legislation that could hit farming communities has also exacerbated other splits in the right-wing bloc about issues such as gay rights, abortion and the rule of law. PiS currently holds a majority in the Sejm, the lower chamber of the Polish parliament, thanks to a coalition called Zjednoczona Prawica, or United Right, formed with the radical right-wing Solidarna Polska and more center-right Porozumienie.

There needs be Animal Rights to the extent of preventing brutality and cruelty to Animals. And yes, there is no real reason of animal farming for fur. For it has been my displeasure to once visit a mink farming location and it was sickening. Those little fellows are very vicious in their own right, but should not be raised and killed for their fur in as well as the means to feed them.
For one, when only female chickens are raised for eggs, wonder what happens to the male chicks that are sorted out? They are killed in large numbers and their bodies ground up and frozen in blocks. The mink farm people purchase these frozen blocks of ground up male chicks and in turn mix them with a prepared ground grain in to moist patty. These then is fed to the mink population kept in seporate wire cages. They must be kept seporated other wise they would fight and kill one another or at least mar up their valuable coats.
Once the mink have reached maturity to the fullest of their coats, they are caught and individually held head first under a foot operated needle treadle and injected with black flag. This kills them quickly, they are then placed in a holding device and skinners trim their feet and their skin is pulled off their dead bodies. The dead bodies are then tossed like garbage in to large steel barrels and disposed of.
For all those customers of fur coats, hats, gloves should with their purchase, have this as an information pamphlet.

Karl, this is quite awful operation. I think we deifinitively do not need natural fur anymore. I am not a vegetarian and I still feel that there is probably a lot of cruelty happening to the animals before they are killed for us to be eaten as beef or pork or chickens. +++For one, when only female chickens are raised for eggs+++ I feel for the male chicks... but in nature usually we need one supermale and then many females for the specie to survive except birds and humans

I tend to believe you and my self are on the same page in the manner of what we eat. Yes, I eat meat in as well as eggs, in doing so it is to my most trust and hope those animals and chickens were well treated in the manner of their death.
For yes, another saying: For some thing to live, some thing else must die.

Karl,
many people of the younger generations are vegetarians, so life is changing and I respect their choice. But the selection of food is much wider with the proteins and vitamins people did not have before.
By the way, Polish newspapers were writing about a scandal somewhere in Germany with treatment of animals before being slaughtered.
